Commonwealth Secretariat invites new members to join its Audit and Risk Committee

 

The Audit and Risk Committee (the Committee) is appointed by the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Board of Governors.  The Committee is advisory and assists the Board of Governors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities in regard to:

  • The Commonwealth Secretariat’s system of internal control and risk management.
  • The integrity of the Commonwealth Secretariat financial statements.

 

The Committee meets four times a year in London.  Meetings are scheduled for three hours between 4 and 7 pm on a weekday.  In addition, some preparatory work is required in advance of the meetings.

 

The appointment will initially be for a period of two years.  The position is unpaid, but reasonable local travel expenses can be reimbursed.

 

This opportunity is open to individuals who are Commonwealth citizens residing in London.  Applicants should be persons with significant experience in financial management, risk management, assurance processes, human resources, or IT management.
