The vacancy

We have an excellent opportunity for an Outreach and Project Development Manager to work within our Trade, Oceans and Natural Resources Directorate.  Oceans and Natural Resources (ONR) is responsible for delivering key Commonwealth Strategic mandates relating to sustainable management of the ocean and natural resources. ONR supports the development efforts of member countries through the provision of policy, legal, economic and environmental technical assistance and capacity building.

 

This post is focused on supporting outreach, relationship management and resource mobilisation for the Commonwealth Blue Charter programme. The post-holder may be required to support other areas of ONR work.

 

Reporting to the Head of the ONR Section, and under the guidance of the Blue Charter Adviser, the post-holder is expected, among other responsibilities, to:

 

  • Support the strategic delivery of the Blue Charter programme and achievement of its outcomes, outputs, and project deliverables.

 

  • Manage and coordinate strategic outreach and partnerships with member countries and partners.

 

  • Advise, guide, manage, and coordinate the development and implementation of projects arising from member countries, including through the Blue Charter Project Incubator.

 

To be considered, you will need:

 

  • A post-graduate degree (Masters or Doctorate) in business administration, law, political science, environmental science/policy, social sciences, or similar.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience demonstrating a provencoordination,developing,monitoring,reviewing,andmanagingprojects,preferablywithinaninternationalcontext.
